History
Shoscombe and Single Hill wasn't opened until 23 September 1929, 55 years after the opening of the Bath Extension. It consisted of two pre-fabricated concrete section platforms with no shelters. There was a small ticket office and waiting room at the end of the down platform. This halt was very well used as roads to the village were - and still are - narrow. The halt closed with the rest of the line on 7 March 1966. There were never any goods facilities.

Future Plans
In view of the usefulness of this halt in the past it is probable that it will be rebuilt and reopened when the line returns.
